The Pro One Design High-Mount Steering Stabilizer Kit Is Engineered To Add Another Level Of Control To The Steering System Of 2019–2026 Ram 2500 And 3500 4WD Trucks. Designed To Work Alongside The Factory-Location Lower Steering Stabilizer, The High-Mount System Adds Additional Damping Directly To The Steering Linkage To Help Control Unwanted Movement Before It Is Transferred Through The Steering Wheel.
Larger And Heavier Tires Place Significantly More Demand On The Steering System. Potholes, Expansion Joints, Ruts, Rough Roads, And Off-Road Impacts Can Generate Rapid Movement Through The Steering Linkage. The Pro One Design High-Mount Stabilizer Helps Control These Forces, Providing A More Planted And Predictable Steering Feel On The Highway And Increased Control In Rough Terrain.
The System Is Built Around A Massive Heavy-Duty Steel Frame Mount Designed To Provide A Rigid Foundation For The Stabilizer. The Mount Is Constructed From 3/16" Steel With A Reinforced Double-Layer Mounting Section Providing 3/8" Of Total Material Thickness At The Critical Stabilizer Mounting Area. Heavy-Duty Gusseting Further Reinforces The Assembly To Minimize Flex Under Steering Loads.
A Precision CNC-Machined Billet Aluminum Clamp Secures The Opposite End Of The Stabilizer Directly To The Steering Linkage. This Creates A Strong, Positive Mounting Point Without Welding Or Permanent Modification To The Steering Linkage. A 17-4 Stainless Steel High-Misalignment Stud Provides Exceptional Strength And The Required Articulation For Smooth Stabilizer Operation Throughout The Steering Range.
The Frame-Side Mount Integrates With The Factory Sway Bar Mounting Location For A Clean Bolt-On Installation. The Kit Includes The Required 3/8" Sway Bar Spacer And Extended Mounting Hardware To Compensate For The Added Bracket Thickness And Maintain Proper Sway Bar Position.
The Nitrogen-Charged Stabilizer Provides More Than Basic Steering Damping. Nitrogen Pressure Can Be Fine-Tuned To Adjust The Stabilizer's Influence On The Steering System, Allowing It To Be Set Primarily For Increased Damping Or Adjusted To Help Compensate For Directional Pull Caused By Certain Tire And Vehicle Combinations.
Dual-Stabilizer Performance
The Pro One Design High-Mount Steering Stabilizer Is Designed To Be Used In Addition To A Low-Mount Steering Stabilizer, Not As A Replacement For It.
Combining High- And Low-Mount Stabilizers Provides Damping At Two Different Points Of The Steering Linkage. This Helps Control The Increased Steering Forces Created By Larger Tires And Provides Greater Resistance To Sudden Steering Movement, Kickback, And Feedback Through The Steering Wheel.
