LIMITING STRAPS
PRO ONE DESIGN FACTORY RADIUS ARM LIMITING STRAP BRACKET W/ 15" STRAPS FOR 17-26 FORD F250/F350/F450 4WD
$289.99
Highly Recommended When Running Factory Radius Arm
This Bracket Kit Attaches To The Factory Radius Arm and Includes Limiting Straps
Here’s The Real Reasoning Behind It:
1. Protecting Shocks From Topping Out
High-end shocks (like the ones paired with Pro One Suspension systems) are not designed to be the hard stop at full droop. If the suspension fully extends and the shock “tops out,” it creates a harsh internal impact that can:
- Damage seals
- Shorten shock life
- Affect performance over time
Limiting straps stop the suspension just before that happens.
2. Saving Other Components (Ball Joints, Tie Rods, Driveshafts)
When a suspension droops too far:
- Ball joints can bind
- Tie rods hit extreme angles
- Brake lines and ABS wires get stretched
- Driveshaft angles can get sketchy
The straps act like a controlled leash so nothing gets pulled past its safe operating range.
3. Keeping Suspension Geometry In Check
Long-travel systems (which Pro One Design is known for) push components further than stock. Without straps, the geometry at full droop can get into positions that weren’t meant to handle load. Straps keep everything within a “designed” window.
4.Bottom Line:
They’re not there to limit performance—they’re there to preserve it. Without straps, the shock becomes the limiting device, and that’s the worst-case scenario for longevity and reliability.
